Atlantis Fanfiction:
There are just some amazingly good writers in the Atlantis fandom and these are just my recs for gen stories.
You can find the ship and the slash easily, but I think the gen stories are a
little harder to find.

Eurydice Turns Left by Vehemently- this is one of my alltime favorite stories ever.
A team story that reveals so much about the team. There are original characters that are wonderful and amazing. This one is pretty long, so just sit back and enjoy!

Planet Megalodon Wraith Defense Force by Pentapus - the team finds a race that's more advanced than the Lanteans.
Of course things go wrong -John and Rodney are taken captive, there's an Ancient Outpost, John talks to bridges,Teyla thinks she senses the Wraith, and, oh, yeah, there are sea monsters!

Dead, I Just Haven't Stopped Moving Yet by cybersyd42 -
The
consequences of a mission gone wrong have a devastating impact on the SGA
team.
Excellent angsty fic that explores the change in Rodney McKay
since he's come to the Pegasus Galaxy.

Beatae Memoriae by sazz - On an isolated planet, John Sheppard is lost
in more ways than one.
This is an excellent story of John trying to
find his way home from an impossible distance. There's a wonderful
original character who helps him make the journey.

New Guys by T'Pring - Elizabeth was looking forward to watching Col.
Sheppard win over a new batch of Pegasus Galaxy recruits... When the Wraith
disrupt a routine training mission, Sheppard must show the new guys what it
takes to get everyone home.
I really loved this look at Sheppard and
his unique command style

Desperation by kristen999 - Nothing is ever black and white in the
Pegasus galaxy. John and Rodney face a deadly threat where time is not the
only enemy.
Really amazing story where Rodney has to keep
Sheppard alive. Really, really good Rodney voice!

Lovely team fic where you see just how much
team Sheppard cares for each other.

Deflection - by Martha Wilson - John didn't remember losing
Atlantis, didn't remember dying, and he was trying not to find it unfair
that Rodney wouldn't talk to him.
Everything by Martha Wilson is wonderful. There is slash on Martha's
site so be sure to read all descriptions and warnings.

by Kristin999 - An accident teaches Ronon more than one valuable lesson.
Great Ronon story!

Sisyphus by Eildon Rhymer - Sheppard's in hell, and there is only
one way to break free.
Excellent Sheppard voice as we experience his own unique version of hell.

Untamed by Negolith - Project Atlantis is a top secret think tank
located in the Pacific Northwest. Acastus Kolya, the project's second in
command, has been using its resources for his own agenda, and now he's eager
to play with his newest specimen - John Sheppard.
While this is an AU (an alternate universe story) all of the characters are
in character. Very excellent story.

The Sky is Not Less Blue by sazz27 - A disastrous mission tears the
team apart, and for John and Rodney, nothing will ever be the same again.
Set in late Season 3, so beware of spoilers. Truly amazing story!!

The Pirate's Prisoner - by rhymer23
- Rodney McKay hadn't realised he was being abducted by pirates at first.
(If he had, he would, of course, have resisted with proud defiance, willing
to die rather than submit.) Now he finds himself on the ship of the second
most notorious pirate in the Caribbees, immured in a dank prison (well, a
fairly spacious cabin, but that's not the point), forced to prostitute his
intellect in the service of evil. And there's a savage on board, and a woman
– an actual woman, in man's clothes, would you believe? Will Rodney ever
escape and make it back to London to receive the Royal Academy Fellowship
that is surely awaiting him?
Another AU where the characters are totally in character. I especially
loved Rodney McKay in this fic. He makes such a great and believable

When John is severely injured by an unusual weapon, it may be that only a
family member can save his life. And that means David Sheppard must come to
Atlantis...IF John's friends can convince him to do it.
I really loved this fic where David Sheppard really gets to see his brother.
T'Pring does a great job of writing David Sheppard as someone real and
alive. Sometimes I liked him and sometimes I didn't but you always felt for
him. - added 5/08
These are authors I pretty much read everything they put out there because
they're so good. I would be hard put to have to choose a favorite among their
stories, so I'm recommending you go read everything they write ;-)
