Aviation School : There are many kinds of pilots from commercial
and private pilots to instrument and multi-panel pilots. A career
as a professional pilot can follow a number of different paths: charter
pilot, flying training, crop dusting, stock mustering, fish spotting,
commercial airline pilot, to mention a few. That first job in General
Aviation (GA) is a necessary prerequisite for further career development.
Most new pilots must log a certain amount of hours before they can
gain a good pilot job.
Bartending School:
Bartending schools teach everything from etiquette to the difference
between a highball and rocks glass. You learn how to make and serve
drinks the right way, but you also learn what to, and not to, talk
about to customers. A bartender, just like any good host, is there
to please his guests. Bartending schools teach you the tricks of
the trade.
Beautician Colleges:
Beauty Schools come in three major categories: State licensed oriented,
job skill oriented, degree granted. State licensed oriented schools
do a great job when the goal is to attain a State License in the
shortest, easiest, and cheapest way possible.Another major category
of beauty schools is one that has a different focus than the State
Licensed oriented school. Job skill oriented beautician schools
train students to get into the workforce. A Job Skill orientated
school will not identify the curriculum as Cosmetology. They can
allow students to pick from any one or any combination of job skills
that will benefit them as a profitable professional. A Job Skill
school may only have four starts per year for their Esthetics, Nail
Technician, and Electrologist curricula. At the top of the Beauty
School educational ladder is a Job Skill School that is Associate
Degree Granting. This is a highly innovative approach more closely
resembling a college than a traditional Beauty School.
Dental Assistant:
Dental assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and
laboratory duties. They work chairside as dentists examine and treat
patients. They make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental
chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.
Assistants also sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment,
prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct
patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
Distance Learning:
Distance Learning programs allow students to participate in academic
programs primarily in rural communities. It is important to make
sure that the distant learning program you are interested in is
accredited.
Elearning:
Elearning (also somtimes written out as e-learning), refers to training,
tutoring or other learning programs that are computer or Internet-based.
Elearning is a pretty broad definition, and basically represents
any electronic or computerized form of learning or training.
