Black Dog vs. Strange Things
I'm not entirely sure why I'm putting Strange Things up on here. Perhaps just as some space filler, perhaps to show how a story idea can progress. Maybe even, to show how my writing has changed (or improved, if you are being kind.) The chapters of Strange Things were revised and re-written beyond an inch of their life, miles beyond. They lost any freshness of life they had, and despite spending years on the project I never got beyond those opening chapters. I learnt my lesson.
Black Dog is the opposite. What I have written of it is two paragraphs, which are just ideas more than anything. I'm almost frightened to commit it to paper in case I destroy it. It seems such a fragile thing at the moment, and it has to be done just right, otherwise it will go the same way as Strange Things.
