Fun Stuff

Trivia:

Roughly 60% of the film was scripted, while the remaining 40% was made up of improvised material.

During the church scene, the film cuts away to a shot of various Hells Angels members at a bar in Spain. Those involved were actual Hells Angels members.

All the dead animals in this film are real, and were found dead at the side of the road or nearby shooting locations.

The boy character who has a Weetabix box tied to his head throughout the entire film actually came up with the hill-rolling scene himself (an example of improvised material). The footage used in the film is from two seperate hill-rolling sessions cut together, although footage exists of around five or six different attempts at rolling down the same hill.*

The clip during the black and white intro scene involving a school shooting suspect talking to the camera about his intentions was filmed by some of the actors themselves and then sent to the director via the internet.

Similairly, the scene done in photographs near the end of the film in which a character is gassed to death was photographed by the actor who played the part of the school- shooting suspect, and the photographs were then e-mailed to the director.

The footage which appears during several of the substance-abuse scenes of an underwater diver is of the same person who did some of the music for the film.

. * - Update 05/07/08: This extra footage no longer exists due to my computer getting a virus and I had to delete some unnecessary files to back up my C:\ drive. So whoever made that virus, wherever you are, meet me after work so I can cut your dick off.
