Introduction
Of all incarnations of Star Trek, the Original Series was and remains my favourite, forever. One can criticize the sometimes crappy writing, the pappmach sets, the ridiculous costumes -- it was a low-budget series int he 1960's, and it shows. But the characters were excellent, the world offered to us one that was worth living in, and the entire thing had its naive charme all the following series lacked.
Although I find it insulting how the Enterprise series stomped TOS-canon into the soil -- Enterprise was the only Trek-series I gave up on halfways and never watched it to its end -- I agree that in our era writing in the old TOS-style would be ridiculous. I, too, sketch a somewhat darker picture about TOS-times, in hindsight what we have learned in the newer series. Not Enterprise, however, as for me that series simply didn't exist.

THE STORIES
It may seem strange that I've posted the Original Galactica/Original Trek crossover series, The Lost Years, in the BG section, as it takes place in the Star Trek universe. The only reason for doing it was that it started out with the Galactica... and I wanted something in that section as well. Here you will find small snipplets that take part in the same universe but don't have direct connections to the series.

Summary: An undercover Starfleet Intelligence unit has to use unusual methods to blow up a crime ring of the Orion Syndicate on Daleth Station.
Timeframe: takes place during TOS' 3rd Season.
