Introduction
I once had high hopes for Voyager -- I was sorely disappointed by the end product. To learn more about the hows and whys, read the essay below.
So I decided to rewrite the series in a way I think it should be. Thus the Lost Voyages series was born. Currently, the only story halfway written is Alternate Caretaker, so everything else is still in the planning. I gave you short summaries to know what to expect. They can be changed in the future, though, in which case I'll update this page, too.

STORIES
THE EQUINOX LOGS
Complementary series to "The Lost Voyages". It starts with the events of Captain Ransom and Lieutenant Burke's first meeting at Starbase 80 and tells the story of their long, complicated on and off relationship, until their final fate in the Delta Quadrant. It is an AU, so don't be surprised when things won't turn out quite the same way as in the series.

LOG #1 IMPOSSIBLE ODDS

Genre: Action-adventure/Romance sort of, anyway
Summary: Ransom and Burke meet by accident and it sparkes between them at once. But keeping up a relationship between two very different people in the middle of the Borg crisis is not an easy thng.

Aka: The Star Trek Voyager that could have been. My own idea about what Voyager should have been like. Very much of an AU. These are the episodes Ive planned, with a short summary. But the way my muses like to work, there could be major changes later. Ill try to update this list when that happens.

Summary: Chakotay reveals Siskas primary goal while infiltrating his crew: to find out who from the DS9 officials helped the Maquis all the time. The answer surprises even him and no, its not Eddington. Chakotay knew about Eddington, IMO.

Summary: Joe Carey and Sam Wildman begin to develop a friendship. Stadi get shot by a possessed Tuvok. Chakotay and an old friend commiserate about Seska and have a spiritual experience together.

Summary: The story is mostly the same as in the canon episode, but there will be major differences in character dynamics.

Summary: Ensign Wildmans pregnancy is revealed. Kes will have a child but not with Neelix. We hear some of Sito and Gerrons experiences in the Cardassian prison camp.

Note: There is a possiblity to postpone this episode until Season 2. In that case, however, Ensign Wildmans pregnancy needs to be mentioned in a different episode or Naomi should already be aboard as a 3-year-old (or older), remaining there by accident at the start.

Summary: Kes pregnancy progresses, but she still participates shuttle training. Neelix, still not quite ready to give her up, is jealous at Tom. On the planet, Tom makes him clear who Kesboyfriend is, and they become friends on the basis of misery loves company

Summary: Very different visions than in the canon episode. One of these persuades Kes to marry her boyfriend. Stadi helps Kes to beat the Bothan alien. Afterwards she has a long talk with Tom about the Admiral.

Note: the Bothan are the reason why many Delta Quadrant species are very suspicious (or downright paranoid) toward all telepaths.
12. Alternate Paths (Cold Fire)

Rating:
Summary: Following Stadis advice, Kes and the other Ocampa aboard Voyager choose to remain with Tanis people for a while, in order to learn. They will go through a special tratment that exceeds their life expectance by 60% and theyll catch up with Voyager later. Kes husband, though not of their kin, is accepted by the Ocampa for the time of her stay.

13. Alternate Maneuvers

Rating:
Summary: In which there will be a mutiny aboard Voyager, Seska is still pregnant but she had become so in the natural way during State of Flux, and Chakotay is rescued due to a spectacular action.

Note: I might leave Seska wearing her Bajoran disguise as its doubtful that the Kazon would have the necessary medical knowledge to turn her back into a Cardassian. There are possibilities, though.

Summary: Kes and her friends are retuned to Voyager by Suspiria. Kim starts dating Ensign Lindsey Ballard. Otherwise, pretty much of the canon story, adding a few parts from Lifesigns the Paris-Chakotay conflict, with Tom landing in the brig.

Summary: In which Ken Dalby gets to save the day and the relationship between Janeway and Chakotay worsens even more.

17. Symbiogenesis (Tuvix)

Rating:
Summary: A very different Tuvix episode the command staff rebels against Janeways decision, and they dont allow her to forcibly separate Tuvix. Hell remain joined for several episodes, up to Basics, in which he actually decides to undergo the separation voluntarily, due to a long talk with the imprisoned Lon Suder.

18. Alternate Resolutions

Rating: 16 and above, possibly higher
Summary: Chakotay is stranded with a different woman on New Earth, and practical persons as they are they actually begin a new life there, before they get help from the Vidiian doctor. Much to Janeways chagrin, whod have preferred to get rid of him for good (mostly because of the Tuvix affair).

19. Alternate Basics

Rating:
Summary: I have no clear idea about this episode, beyond the fact that Hogan wont die (someone else will, so we wont go without casualties, dont worry!). I think about letting Seska live a little longer, Lon Suder survive (for the time being anyway) and Chakotay actually getting his son (yes, the kid is his), which would give Seska another nice motivation to pursue them vengefully. Especially that Chakotay is going to become a father a second time, due to Resolutions.

SEASON THREE
20. Alternate Blood Fever

Rating:
Summary: The story will start with the main elements of Fair Trade, certain elements of The Swarm, Macrocosm and False Profits are referred to, and only the last third of it will be the story of the canon episode. In which Vorik at the end bonds with TPrena (realizing this as the most logical solution) and BElanna has a different partner in her heat one that is less reluctant than Tom has been in the canon episode.

21. Shifts in Time (Alternate Before and After)

Summary: The story starts with a short summary of Unity and Rise, then continues with Kes giving birth to a little daughter, Linnis. Hogan recovers and starts dating crewman Swinn. Harry asks Lindsey Ballard to marry him and Ballard agrees. Now that there are several children on board (the Benzite babies, Naomi, Linnis, Chaks son) and there will be more soon, a childs care center is needed.

22. Alternate Displacements (Displaced and Worst Case Scenario)

Rating:
Summary: This is a double episode with a very stupid working title so far. It starts with references to Distant Origin and the Vostigny (from Real Life), continues with some elements of Displaced and ends with a very different Worst Case Scenario, in which is relieved that Seska has secretly returned to Voyager and been hiding aboard since Basics 2. She gets killed in the Insurrection Alpha simulation.

SEASON FOUR
23. Alternate Gift
Stardate: ?
Rating:
Summary: In which dealing with Species 8472 proves a little more dificult than in canon. Stadi suffers serious mental damage fortunately not an irreperable one. Its a transwarp conduit (one that burns out much too soon) that hurls them 9,500 light-years forward, not Kes rampant abilities. Paris finally admits Stadi his love a sentiment that she returns.

Summary: There is a big fight about Seven between Janeway and several of the most influental Maquis. Kim and Ballard ask Janeway to perform their wedding. Torres has a different partner.

Summary: Short summary of the episodes Nemesis and The Raven at the beginning. Stadi can feel the intruders, but she cant localize them. She and Paris are now officially together hand have moved to adjoining quarters.

Summary: No clear idea so far. As Kes is still aboard, however, thre will be parallels with Before and After, and her memories from the time switch will prove extremely helpful.

Summary: Basically, this is one big Paris episode, based on his apparent claustrophoby and explaining the background of it in details (and with flashbacks before every time he leaves his stasis chamber). We might learn more about what really happened at Caldik Prime.

Summary: A sappy, romantic episode, focussing on Kim and involving lots of music. <g> However, there migt be interludes showing the Equinox on her way through a different part of the Void, where the Barzan wormhole spat them out. We might learn more about the Malon, and the nova thingy from The Q and the Grey will be mentioned, without the Q references.

Summary: In which much more weight will be given the collective shock and mourning of the Maquis. Ken Dalby and Mariah Henley, already lovers for some time, decide to move together, as they dont have anyone else left back home.

Summary: A character-oriented episode, in which Stadi talks to Neelix about the death og his family on Rinax.

Summary: In which the two crews almost break apart, BElanna refuses the treatment by the Cardassian EMH, TPrena makes an educated guess and manages to separate the alien from BElanna without killing it, and Sam Wildman gets to visit the aliens ship and establish first contact with them. BElanna and Janeway still have that confrontation at the end, and BElanna is really mad at her lover and breaks up with him for a while.

34. Thirty Different Days (Alternate 30 Days)

Rating:
Summary: In which the ocean-dwellers have quills, Tom actually succeeds, but above all punishment gets removed from his post as senior pilot and put into Gamma shift. He freaks out in the brig a few times, and Ayala violates orders and lets Stadi in to him. Some of the Maquis confront Janeway openly and she gets called a tin-plated dictator with delusions of godhood.

Summary: In which Janeway has a torrid affair with Kasyk, despite Chakotays warnings whom she accuses of jealousy and threatens to remove him from his post. Nurse TPrenas pregnancy is in the final stadium, and hiding her in a transporter loop would endanger the life of the baby.

Summary: Unlike the original, this episode fully concentrates on Ensign Anne Jetel and tells her story from the POV of her boyfriend, Lt. Mulcahey. However, Seven confronting Janeway will be fully quoted.

Summary: A skeleton crew is established on the Equinox. As a result of the recent fights, both ships linger at the space station where the ex-Borg come aboard, because the need extensive repairs. Then follows the confrontation with the elusive aliens.

Summary: The episode has been moved here from the first season, for the simple reason that it would fit here better. No Amelia Earhart, no stupid flooting truck in space, but a human civilization on Briori with three beautiful cities, and some of the Voyager and Equinox crew will remain here, while some of the Briorians will choose to return to Earth, the home of their ancestors.

Summary: A routine medical check shows that Kes treatment had been mostly unsuccessful, she only could hope to extend her life expectance by 2 or 3 years. As Federation law makes multiple marriages possible, she enters such one with Kim and their respective partners, in order to ensure Linnis safety. Accepting his responsibility, Kim asks for a transfer to the Equinox, but Janeway refuses.

SEASON SEVEN
46. Driving Forces (Alternate Drive)

Rating:
Summary: This story has little in common with the canon episode. Stadi and Tom finally get married we are treated wih a complete, honest-to-Betazed traditional wedding, where everyone is naked (including Neelix, which spoils the mood a little). As the Equinox has no rooms big enough for the ceremony, they hold the wedding on Voyagers holodeck and Janeway grabs the chance to imprison Chakotay and the other Maquis leaders to ensure the complete cooperation of the Equinox crew.

Summary: Under the influence of the hypnotic conditioning, Tuvok frees the Maquis leaders. The whole rebellion actually does happen with unexpected and tragic consequences. This isnt going to be a happy story, folks!

Summary: After the tragic events of the last episode, the two crews regroup. No Pon Farr for Tuvok. The Lokirrim will have a different peeve than hating holograms, which is stupid.
