Dennis 4w-4PH

Dennis is a petrol hydraulic locomotive and was first built in 1981 by Arnold Bimpson. It was an American GP40 style locomotive with yellow livery and named 'Hiawatha'. In the winter of 1998 Hiawatha was rebuilt as his bodywork fell apart. Bob Bullock built a new body which included an enclosed cab which is to give the drivers some protection in bad weather. The new loco was named 'Dennis'. When it rains 'Dennis' is the most popular engine with the drivers. It has a green livery. Dennis has recently changed power source. Pictures are on the news page.

Rolling Stock

On the railway the locomotives are not the only things. We have four sit astride coaches, which were built by Cromar White and Severn Lamb in 1985. There are usually three in use on passenger trains.
